*****

I was lucky enough to receive an advanced copy of The Chain, from the Little, Brown and Company booth, while at Bookexpo earlier this year in New York.  This title released July 9, 2019.

This book had me gasping from the very first page; it’s a total edge of your seat, heart in your throat kind of read, so buckle up and enjoy the ride. I had a hard time putting it down.

The book is broken up into two parts and the first is definitely more fast-paced than the second.  The story kicks right into gear at page 1 and continues full steam ahead until part two, when things slow down a bit and more context and background is provided to explain how we got to where we were by the end of the first half of the book.

Overall, I thought this book delivered in plot twists and turns and the suspense factor was at an all-time high – my nerves were shot by the end of the first half of the book.  I can definitely see this being made into a movie (and think there is already talk of it.

I highly recommend this one be added to your 2019 TBR especially if you enjoy a fast-paced psychological thriller.

My Rating: 4.5/5

Happy Reading,
